We recently completed a large full-home window and door replacement with Shinnova, including dozens of custom windows, multiple entry doors, and two patio doors, and we are very happy with the overall experience. Jeremy, our salesman, was straightforward and easy to work with. He stayed involved throughout the process and did what he said he would do. Butch, their installation and service manager, was outstanding. He was thorough with measurements, double checked everything, and was on site during installation. You can tell he knows his craft. All of our windows and doors were custom, including a custom sliding door. The order to installation timeline was about what they estimated, around six weeks. Installation took roughly a week and a half to two weeks, which felt reasonable given the size of the project. There were a few ordering mistakes along the way. Two entry doors and a few window sets were ordered incorrectly. To their credit, they caught the issues themselves, did not try to pass them off as acceptable, and rushed replacements without hesitation. One front door had a minor issue and we mutually agreed to keep it. There were also some shipping-related problems that HGI handled under warranty without question, and Shinnova promptly installed the replacements. The difference in the house is noticeable. Our original 25-year-old single-hung windows had failing balances and locks. These new windows seal tightly, lock well, and are noticeably quieter. Even thunderstorms sound different inside the house. The flex screens are a nice touch. The entry doors feel solid and the reinforcement is appreciated. The sliding doors operate very smoothly. Overall, HGI’s windows and doors seem well built, and Shinnova stands behind what they sell. No project of this size is perfect, but they handled issues the right way. We are pleased with the result.
