Local Expertise
The front doors on Wentzville’s newer streets are a small part of a big front. Three-car garage, a two-story face, and a builder entry door sitting in the middle of it that was chosen on a spreadsheet. It has been taking afternoon sun for twenty years, the finish has gone flat and the weatherstrip has given up.
The other doors are usually where the daily wear is: the one from the garage, the patio door off the kitchen, and on a walkout, the one out of the lower level. We ask which you use, then replace the door, the frame and the threshold as one assembly, because that is what actually stops the draft.
The Product
A door is the one exterior product you touch every single day, so how it feels in the hand matters as much as how it performs against the weather.
Wentzville Specifics
On these houses the entry is dwarfed by the garage, and widening the opening or adding sidelights changes the whole front. It is one of the few exterior changes with an effect out of all proportion to its cost.
Walkout basements put a second patio door underneath the first, and it takes the weather at grade: splash-back, snow piled against it, a threshold that sits too low. That one gets specified for the exposure it actually has.
Both work and they fail differently. Sliders wear at the rollers and the interlock; hinged patio doors wear at the hinges and the sweep. We talk through how the door gets used, and where the swing has to go, before anything is ordered.
What You Get
Reinforced strike plates, multi-point hardware and solid cores: the parts of a door a break-in actually tests.
Compression weatherstripping and adjustable thresholds stop the draft you can feel across the entry floor.
Interior and exterior trim returned to a clean, painted, caulked condition, not left for you to sort out.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.

Questions
A single entry or patio door is usually a one-day job. The opening is never left open overnight: removal, installation, insulation, sealing and trim all happen in the same visit.
Often yes, if they are in good condition and the proportions still work with the new slab. We will tell you honestly when replacing the full unit gives a better result than keeping mismatched glass.
For a like-for-like swap, usually not. Changing the size of an opening does need one, filed with the City of Wentzville or with St. Charles County depending on your address, and we handle it either way.
Often, and it depends on what is carrying the load above the opening. That is a look-first answer rather than a phone answer, and if the header work makes it a poor investment we will tell you that.
