How long does a window replacement take?
Most homes are completed in one to two days once the units arrive. We remove, install, insulate, seal and trim each opening the same day it is opened, so your home is never left exposed overnight.
Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?
It depends on the condition of the existing frame. Where the frame is sound we can install an insert unit; where there is rot or water damage we recommend a full-frame replacement so the problem is actually solved.
Does Lenexa require a permit for window replacement?
Usually yes. We pull the permit with the City of Lenexa for your address and schedule the work around the inspection, so it is not something you have to chase.
Will new windows help with the noise from I-435 or K-10?
Some, and it depends on the room. On the side of the house facing the highway, laminated or thicker glass makes a real difference. On the back of the house you would not notice it, and we will tell you that rather than spec it everywhere.
