Local Expertise
The deck on the back of a Raymore house is usually the one the builder included: pressure-treated, sized to the plan and set where the door happened to land. It has reached the age where the boards cup, the rail has some give in it and the whole thing is smaller than the way you use the yard.
Rebuilding is the chance to fix what never worked. We start at the footings, because that is what everything else stands on, then size the deck to the table, the grill and the traffic pattern rather than to the original drawing. Composite or wood, depending on how much upkeep you want to sign up for.
The Product
Both materials build a good deck. The right answer depends on how much upkeep you want to sign up for and how long you plan to be in the house.
Raymore Specifics
Raymore subdivisions were graded before the houses went in, so a lot of back yards are fill. Footings have to reach undisturbed soil below frost depth, and we locate utilities and irrigation before anything is dug.
Cass County ground rolls, so the door is often four or five feet above the yard. That decides the stair run, the landing and the rail height, and it is the difference between a deck you walk out onto and one you climb down from.
The trees in these neighborhoods are still young, so the deck takes full sun most of the day. Decking choice, board color and a covered section are what make it usable in July rather than a surface nobody stands on.
What You Get
Permitted where required, with ledger, footing and guard details done to current requirements.
Layout planned around your door location, grade and how you actually use the space.
Hidden fasteners, clean fascia returns and stair geometry that feels right underfoot.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.

Questions
Most residential decks take one to two weeks depending on size, height and rail system. Footings and inspections set the schedule more than the carpentry does.
If you plan to stay more than a few years, usually yes: you stop paying for sealing and board replacement. If the budget is tight or the deck is small, treated lumber built well is still a good deck.
Yes. Decks are permitted and inspected here, footings included. We prepare the drawings, file them with the City of Raymore and schedule both the footing inspection and the final.
We do not, and the reason is straightforward: the footings and framing are what carry everyone standing on it, and they are what fail first. New boards over old framing cover up the part that matters. If your deck genuinely has life left, we will say so rather than sell you a resurface.
