Windows In Both O’Fallons

There are two O’Fallons here, and this page is for both of them. One is in St. Charles County, Missouri, west of St. Peters. The other is in St. Clair County, Illinois, next to Scott Air Force Base. They are about forty miles and a river apart, they are not suburbs of each other, and the first question we ask on the phone is which one you are in. It changes the permit desk, the crew scheduling and, more than anything, the house we are likely to find.

On the Missouri side most of the work is nineties and two-thousands subdivision housing reaching the end of a first set of windows: fogged units, sashes that drift, a crank that spins. On the Illinois side there is more older frame housing around the downtown streets, original wood with storm windows over it, alongside newer neighborhoods that have grown with the base.

The Product

What A Quality Window Actually Buys You

A replacement window is a long-term purchase, and the difference between a builder unit and a well-specified one shows up on your energy bill and in how the house feels to sit in.

  • Insulated glass packages with Low-E coatings and argon fill
  • Rigid multi-chamber vinyl frames that resist warping
  • Custom-measured to the existing opening, with no filler trim

O’Fallon Specifics

Why These Window Features Matter In O’Fallon

On the Missouri side

Subdivision houses here were built brick across the front and panel elsewhere, and the window detail changes with it. Brick mold into masonry, flashing and trim into panel. Getting that right is what keeps water out of the wall rather than just out of the room.

On the Illinois side

The older streets have original wood sashes carrying exterior storms, which have been doing the real work for decades. Replacing both with a single insulated unit gives you the performance and takes the storms off the house for good.

The same failure on both sides

Where the housing matches, so does the problem: builder-grade insulated glass from the boom years, fogging between the panes about now. That is a seal failure, not a cleaning problem, and no amount of work from inside will clear it.

What You Get

Built Right, Start To Finish

Comfort Year-Round

Fewer cold spots in winter and less radiant heat in summer, so the thermostat is not fighting your windows.

Quieter Rooms

Insulated glass and tight seals cut street and mower noise noticeably, especially on front elevations.

Easy To Live With

Sashes that tilt in for cleaning, hardware that keeps operating, and finishes that never need painting.

Questions

O’Fallon Windows FAQ

How long does a window replacement take?

Most homes are completed in one to two days once the units arrive. We remove, install, insulate, seal and trim each opening the same day it is opened, so your home is never left exposed overnight.

Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?

It depends on the condition of the existing frame. Where the frame is sound we can install an insert unit; where there is rot or water damage we recommend a full-frame replacement so the problem is actually solved.

Which permit office covers my address?

Whichever O’Fallon you are in. Missouri addresses go to the City of O’Fallon or to St. Charles County; Illinois addresses go to the City of O’Fallon or to St. Clair County. We confirm it before we order rather than after.

Do you charge differently on the Illinois side?

No. The price follows the work, not the state. Scheduling is the only thing the river changes, and we plan the trip so the install still happens on the days we gave you.
