How long does a door installation take?
A single entry or patio door is usually a one-day job. The opening is never left open overnight: removal, installation, insulation, sealing and trim all happen in the same visit.
Can I keep my existing sidelights?
Often yes, if they are in good condition and the proportions still work with the new slab. We will tell you honestly when replacing the full unit gives a better result than keeping mismatched glass.
Can you keep the original hardware?
Often, and on an older house it is usually worth it. Period locks and plates can be re-fitted to a new door where they are sound. Where they cannot, we will tell you before we take them off rather than hand you a box of parts at the end.
Do you file with the city or with Clay County?
For most Liberty addresses it is the city, and if your property sits outside the limits we file with Clay County instead. Either way it is our paperwork, and we schedule the install around the inspection.
