Local Expertise
Re-siding a Shawnee house is mostly a question of what is under the panel, because so many of these homes grew over time. Hardboard on the original, vinyl on the addition, a strip of aluminum where a porch was enclosed: chalky where the sun lands, soft at the base of the addition wall, and a visible seam at every place two eras meet.
One material and one color across all of it is usually the fix, and the transitions are where it is won or lost. We pull a panel, look at the sheathing and the wrap behind it, and show you what is there. Then we plan the corners and the steps deliberately rather than running new material straight over them.
The Product
Every home is different, so we work with two proven lines: Craneboard insulated vinyl for whole-house performance, and Versetta Stone® mortarless veneer for masonry character. They go on alone or together on the same home.
Shawnee Specifics
Original, addition and enclosure often carry three different products. Craneboard across the whole house, with the trim and corner details worked out at each transition, is what makes the place read as one building instead of a timeline.
Additions are rarely flush with the original framing, so panel run straight across telegraphs the step. Furring and trimming those transitions on purpose is the difference between a re-side that looks intentional and one that looks patched.
The original walls and the addition walls were almost never insulated to the same standard. Insulated siding puts a continuous layer over all of it from the outside, which evens the house out without opening up a single wall from the inside.
What You Get
Continuous insulation behind the panel reduces the thermal bridging that bare studs create.
No scraping, no repainting. An occasional rinse is genuinely the whole maintenance schedule.
A weather barrier behind every panel, sealed penetrations and correctly lapped flashing keep wind-driven rain out of the assembly.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.
Testimonials
My experience with Shinnova was great. I want to thank Jeremy Sweatman for convencing me to get it done. My house looks new again and it is much warmer inside. The workers were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves every night before they left. Thank you very much.
We are extremely impressed with the professionalism of everyone we worked with Jeremy the bomb in explaining sale of windows and the process, Butch for guiding the installation and Dan for all the follow up on progress with delivery. Would recommend hands down we are actually on our second order. The Murphys

Questions
Most homes take three to six working days depending on size, how complex the home is, and weather. We keep the site cleaned down each evening rather than at the end of the job.
We do not recommend it. Removing the old siding is the only way to inspect the sheathing, correct water damage and install the weather barrier properly, which is where the real performance comes from.
For a straight re-side, usually not, though we confirm it with the City of Shawnee before anything is ordered. If your neighborhood reviews color, we give you the product sheet and the color name for the submittal.
They do not, and sometimes budget says otherwise. The caveat is color matching later: the same product ordered two years apart will weather differently, so if you know you want the whole house eventually, ordering the material together is worth it even if we install in two phases.
