Local Expertise
Madison County holds about a century and a half of housing. Alton and the Leclaire neighborhood in Edwardsville have tall Victorian openings with the original wood still in them. Granite City, Wood River and Bethalto are mostly postwar, and the subdivisions around Glen Carbon, Maryville and Troy have builder vinyl that is now reaching the end of its first life.
What we find in the older houses is that almost nothing is square any more, and out here that is often the ground rather than the carpentry. Parts of this county sit over old mine workings, and a house that has settled over decades has openings that no longer measure the same at the top as at the bottom.
The Product
A replacement window is a long-term purchase, and the difference between a builder unit and a well-specified one shows up on your energy bill and in how the house feels to sit in.
Madison County Specifics
We measure every opening at the head, the middle and the sill rather than once and assume. On a settled house those numbers differ, and a unit ordered off one measurement is the reason a window ends up shimmed crooked with trim covering the gap.
The historic neighborhoods have proportions no manufacturer stocks, and the districts review what goes back in. We document the specifications for your submittal and wait for the approval before anything is ordered.
The Glen Carbon, Maryville and Troy subdivisions went up with the value line, and it is now fogging between the panes and dropping sashes. Insulated glass in a rigid multi-chamber frame is a different class of product, which is why the second set outlasts the first.
What You Get
Fewer cold spots in winter and less radiant heat in summer, so the thermostat is not fighting your windows.
Insulated glass and tight seals cut street and mower noise noticeably, especially on front elevations.
Sashes that tilt in for cleaning, hardware that keeps operating, and finishes that never need painting.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.

Questions
Most homes are completed in one to two days once the units arrive. We remove, install, insulate, seal and trim each opening the same day it is opened, so your home is never left exposed overnight.
It depends on the condition of the existing frame. Where the frame is sound we can install an insert unit; where there is rot or water damage we recommend a full-frame replacement so the problem is actually solved.
Usually yes, and which counter depends on your address. Edwardsville, Alton, Collinsville and the other municipalities issue their own, and unincorporated addresses go through Madison County. We check before we order.
Yes, regularly. The St. Louis office covers the Metro East, the crews and the material come across together, and you get the same warranty and the same phone number as anyone on the other side of the river.
