How long does a door installation take?
A single entry or patio door is usually a one-day job. The opening is never left open overnight: removal, installation, insulation, sealing and trim all happen in the same visit.
Can I keep my existing sidelights?
Often yes, if they are in good condition and the proportions still work with the new slab. We will tell you honestly when replacing the full unit gives a better result than keeping mismatched glass.
Can the new door be matched to the garage doors and shutters?
Yes, and on these houses it is worth doing. We look at the whole front together, so the entry, the garage doors and the trim colors end up reading as one decision rather than three made years apart.
How is the hardware handled on a double entry?
A double needs an active leaf and an inactive one, with flush bolts top and bottom on the leaf that stays put, and that decision changes how the entry feels to use every day. We set it up the way you actually open the door, and the new locks are keyed to your existing house key unless you would rather they were not.
