Local Expertise
Steep pitches, a dozen planes, dormers, chimneys and long valleys: that is a normal Leawood roof, and it is why a number over the phone means very little here. There is more flashing per square than on almost anything else we work on, and the flashing is where roofs actually fail.
So we get on it and look, then hand you photographs of what we found. If your roof still has years in it, we will say so and tell you roughly how many, in writing. We would rather be honest about where it stands than sell you a replacement it is not ready for.
The Product
A roof is a system, not a stack of shingles. The parts you never see (decking, underlayment, flashing, ventilation) decide how long the visible part survives.
Leawood Specifics
A roof with this many faces takes longer and needs more staging, and every hip, valley and dormer is another detail to get right. It also means a crew that is comfortable working at that pitch, which is not every crew.
Plenty of Leawood roofs started as shake, and what is under them is not always what a crew expects. We look at the decking before we quote, so the conversion is priced as the job it is rather than corrected halfway through.
Shingle color and profile are looked at in much of the city and by most associations here. We put the product board in front of the committee with the submittal, and the order goes in once it comes back approved.
What You Get
Ice-and-water membrane at eaves and valleys where leaks actually start.
Manufacturer material coverage plus our own workmanship warranty, both in writing.
Magnetic sweeps of the drive and lawn, and debris hauled away, not stacked by the garage.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.

My experience with Shinnova was great. I want to thank Jeremy Sweatman for convencing me to get it done. My house looks new again and it is much warmer inside. The workers were very professional. They cleaned up after themselves every night before they left. Thank you very much.
We are extremely impressed with the professionalism of everyone we worked with Jeremy the bomb in explaining sale of windows and the process, Butch for guiding the installation and Dan for all the follow up on progress with delivery. Questions
A typical single-family roof is a one to two day job. We tear off, inspect the deck, dry it in and finish the same trip, and the site is swept before the crew leaves each day.
We inspect first and show you photographs of what we found. If a targeted repair genuinely buys you several more years, that is what we will recommend. Replacing a roof that does not need replacing is not a service.
A full tear-off down to the deck, then whatever the deck needs before anything new goes on. A heavier laminated shingle keeps the shadow line shake gave the house. We will show you the profiles against your own stone before you choose.
Yes, and it is worth raising early. Low-slope porch and breezeway sections often need a different material than the main roof, and a detached garage can be done in the same trip for a good deal less than calling us back for it later. We price both ways so you can decide.
