How long does a window replacement take?
Most homes are completed in one to two days once the units arrive. We remove, install, insulate, seal and trim each opening the same day it is opened, so your home is never left exposed overnight.
Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?
It depends on the condition of the existing frame. Where the frame is sound we can install an insert unit; where there is rot or water damage we recommend a full-frame replacement so the problem is actually solved.
Do your crews need to work from inside the house?
For part of each opening, yes. We work room by room, move what is in the way and put it back, and lay protection over floors and sills as we go. Most of a day in any one room is the most we will be in your way.
Will new windows help with the noise from the highway?
Some, and honestly less than people hope. A properly sealed, well-fitted unit is a real improvement over a builder window with a failed seal, but no window makes traffic disappear. We would rather set that expectation now than after installation.
