Local Expertise
Most people call us about one door. The front door that has to be pulled up and in before the deadbolt will turn, the slider onto the deck that takes two hands, the one that lets a line of daylight through in January. How you use the opening matters as much as the door itself: how often it gets opened, whether it faces the weather, whether anyone actually comes in the front at all.
The part we usually know already is what is under the paint. Overland Park entries span a lot of years, from the original ranch openings in the north half to the builder slabs that came with the boom-era two-stories, and each generation gives out in its own way. We look at the frame, the threshold and the trim rather than the slab alone, and if the door has good years left in it we will tell you that instead of writing a quote.
The Product
A door is the one exterior product you touch every single day, so how it feels in the hand matters as much as how it performs against the weather.
Overland Park Specifics
The older ranches were framed before door sizes settled down, so a stock slab either gets padded out or cut in. We build the unit to the opening you have, which is why the trim comes back clean and the door still shuts right in five years.
Later plans put a patio door at the back, and that is the one that wears out first: rollers dragging in the track, clouded glass, a latch that only catches if you lift it. A new unit with a proper track and an adjustable threshold fixes the way it moves, not just the way it looks.
On plenty of these entries the storm door is what is actually sealing the house, and the real door behind it has been failing quietly for years. Once the entry door seals on its own, the storm door becomes a choice rather than a patch.
What You Get
Reinforced strike plates, multi-point hardware and solid cores: the parts of a door a break-in actually tests.
Compression weatherstripping and adjustable thresholds stop the draft you can feel across the entry floor.
Interior and exterior trim returned to a clean, painted, caulked condition, not left for you to sort out.
How It Works
We come out, measure, look at what is actually there, and give you a written price with no obligation.
You choose materials, colors and details with samples in hand, and we confirm everything before anything is ordered.
Our own crews do the work, keep the site clean, and walk the finished job with you before we call it done.
No pressure. Just solutions.

Questions
A single entry or patio door is usually a one-day job. The opening is never left open overnight: removal, installation, insulation, sealing and trim all happen in the same visit.
Often yes, if they are in good condition and the proportions still work with the new slab. We will tell you honestly when replacing the full unit gives a better result than keeping mismatched glass.
No. Every door we install is measured to the opening in your home rather than ordered off a shelf and made to fit. Older Overland Park ranches turn up odd widths regularly, and it changes nothing about the schedule.
For a straight replacement usually yes, and we file it for you. If we are widening the opening or putting in a patio door, the review takes a little longer and we build that into the timeline we give you.
