How long does a window replacement take?
Most homes are completed in one to two days once the units arrive. We remove, install, insulate, seal and trim each opening the same day it is opened, so your home is never left exposed overnight.
Do you replace the whole frame or just the glass?
It depends on the condition of the existing frame. Where the frame is sound we can install an insert unit; where there is rot or water damage we recommend a full-frame replacement so the problem is actually solved.
Does Florissant require a permit for window replacement?
Usually yes. We pull it with the City of Florissant for your address and schedule around the inspection. If your home is in the Old Town historic district there is an extra review step, and we plan the order date around it.
Can you keep the look of an older home in Old Town?
Yes, and it is worth doing properly. Muntin pattern, sash proportion and frame color all come up in review, so we put the specifications in writing for your submittal and wait for approval before anything is ordered.
